Marvel Boss Shares Hilarious Blunt Reaction to Jamie Foxx's Spoilery Spider-Man Post

Marvel Studios is now less than a couple of weeks away from the long-awaited theatrical debut of Spider-Man: No Way Home, arguably the most hyped film since 2019's Avengers: Endgame. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently began helping with the movie's promotional tour before the film puts Tom Holland's Spidey into battle with classic villains like Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Jamie Foxx's Electro.

Following more than a year's worth of leaks and teases about the movie's story and characters, fans are growing incredibly anxious to see exactly what Marvel and Sony have in store with this threequel. With Peter Parker's identity crisis and the first tears in the Multiverse taking center stage, there is more than enough excitement to fill every second of the film's reported 148-minute runtime.

While seemingly dozens of reports and the movie's promotional tour have given fans a tease of what's on the way, Foxx kicked things off way back in October 2020 when his casting was first reported. When asked about the potential plot spoilers contained within the post's picture, Feige could only respond with a classic sense of vaguery.

Kevin Feige on Jamie Foxx's Spoiler Post

In October 2020, following reports that Jamie Foxx would reprise his role of Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Foxx took to Instagram to share an image of his Electro in front of all three live-action Spider-Men:

In a recent interview with Cinema Blend, Marvel Studios President looked back on this moment and shared his reaction from when the photo was posted. Not giving any specifics on what he thought at the time, Feige kept his response brief, saying that he is now "numb" to potentially spoiler-y posts on social media like what Foxx shared:

"I’m numb to it now. I’m numb to anybody tweeting anything about anything. Politics, movies, Marvel, just numb.

Feige Numb to Spoiler-y MCU News

Kevin Feige is no stranger to spoiler-y posts regarding what's coming in the MCU, particularly having dealt with stars like Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo's antics over the years. After all, Ruffalo spoiled the big twist in Avengers: Infinity War nearly a year before its release by simply saying "everybody dies."

Of course, Spider-Man: No Way Home seems to have far more spoilers than the typical MCU movie, and it's already regarded as one of the most leaked movies in cinematic history. Through all this, Feige has only been able to watch and employ some kind of damage control anywhere he can to keep the film's secrets hidden for as long as possible.

Despite being numb to these spoilers releasing, Feige still remains adamant about making sure fans get the best experience possible with the MCU's biggest movies, which includes No Way Home. Fans only have to look back to how he publicly called out Alfred Molina for the interview the Doc Ock star gave on exactly how he will make his return from Spider-Man 2.

With No Way Home so close to releasing, Feige only has to remain steadfast in this venture for a little while longer. Of course, he will have to pick up right where he left off for 2022 movies like Doctor Strange in the Mutliverse of Madness, but at the very least, the Spidey madness is close to becoming real for fans worldwide.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will debut in theaters on December 17, 2021.
