One of the most anticipated upcoming DC Comics films is Matt Reeves' The Batman, which sees Robert Pattinson takeover the cowl.

The movie was at last year's DC FanDome, an event celebrating everything DC Comics. The previous occasion included some major announcements and exclusive footage, helping brighten up an otherwise downer year.

The Batman is set to appear this year at its second annual event, alongside the likes of Black Adam, The Flash, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

It seems that director Matt Reeves is excited to show off the film, as he tweeted a new photo that teases the new trailer on the horizon.

Gotham City's Protector Heads to DC FanDome

Every Dark Knight needs their brooding shot over Gotham City; it's almost like a rite of passage. Now fans can consider it official: Robert Pattinson is The Caped Crusader.

When it comes to the real city behind the Gotham being glimpsed in the photo, it's likely that of Chicago. The project definitely did some filming in the city, as set videos showed Zoë Kravitz's Catwoman and Robert Pattinson's Batman riding through the area

The Batman completely blew the minds of fans around the world with its first trailer, so the expectations for this second one are fairly high. Matt Reeves certainly seems confident, though this is far from his first tease of the film.

If anything, hopefully, it will show off more of Paul Dano's Riddler. He was briefly seen in last year's teaser but not all that much. From that alone, fans are expecting a unique take on the classic villain.

He isn't the only one that will serve as a thorn in Bruce Wayne's side, as Colin Farrell is playing The Penguin. Warner Bros. must be confident in his performance as well because the studio is developing a spinoff show for the iconic villain.

Fans can look forward to a new look at the film during DC FanDome 2021 on Saturday, October 16, and then enjoy the film when it debuts worldwide on March 4, 2022.
