While there's plenty to be excited about when it comes to Marvel Studios, there's one film that might even trump its offerings: The Batman.

The film completely blew audiences away last year at Warner Bros.' first DC FanDome event with its teaser trailer, which gave everyone a proper look at Robert Pattinson as the famous Caped Crusader. People had once doubted Pattinson, but boy were they proven wrong.

The hype has been continuing to grow with this year's FanDome fast approaching. Even the film's director, Matt Reeves, joined in on the fun as he posted a brand-new look at The Dark Knight looking out onto Gotham City.

Now, fans have some new posters to gush over while they wait for the big day to arrive.

New Batman Posters Feature Pattinson and The Riddler

The official Twitter account for The Batman unveiled two new posters for the upcoming film in anticipation of DC FanDome.

The first poster features The Dark Knight himself, Robert Pattinson, all suited up and ready to go. Rain is pouring over Batman, with an intense red color scheme at play––possibly hinting at the idea of blood being on his hands?

The second poster shows off Paul Dano's Riddler, who is lit in that same intense red lighting. The rest of the frame, however, is pitch black. The smears on the poster seem to indicate that it's mimicking a camera lens.

The Batman vs. The Riddler

Given the film's first trailer, there's a good chance a lot of The Batman will focus on how violent Pattinson's Batman is. Does that make him a hypocrite? Is he doling out "justice" to those with blood on their hands, only to get his covered as well?

As mentioned above, that's what the bright red poster seems to indicate. The film will showcase Bruce Wayne in his Batman infancy and likely deal with his journey into controlling all of the rage he feels on a daily basis.

Paul Dano's Riddler probably wants to call him out for just that: his rage, which brings out a heavy helping of hypocrisy. He will likely go to great lengths to point out the fact that Gotham's "protector" brings blood and destruction everywhere he goes.

The voyeuristic aspect of the villain's character is shown off as well, with the poster showcasing the character's likely tendency to both record his crimes but also messages to people like Bruce Wayne and Gotham itself.

With a new, Riddler-specific poster, it's likely that fans will see far more of the character at DC FanDome than they have ever before.

The event takes place on Saturday, October 16, starting at 1 p.m. EST. The Batman will then premiere in theaters worldwide on March 4, 2022.
