Virtual Star Wars Convention To Be Held On May 4th

Virtual Star Wars Con

As this global health crisis continues wreaking havoc across the globe, an unfortunate side effect continues to occur: Due to social distancing protocols, the majority of conventions and large gatherings have either been postponed or outright canceled by their organizers. One Con that's deciding to stand its ground for the time being is Star Wars Celebration 2020, currently scheduled for August 27-30 in Anaheim, California. The fan-favorite convention brings together all things Star Wars and has always been a popular means for fans to connect with one another.

WHAT THIS MEANS

The Star Wars fanbase will definitely be excited by this news. And while it's obviously no replacement for actually being there in-person with your friends at a Star Wars Celebration, for now this will need to serve as the next best thing. One of the highligths will surely prove to be the live tweeting of the series finale for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which is currently well on its way to wrapping up its final season .

Beyond that, this just seems like a fun, online event and will likely be a much needed distraction to all of the many Star ars fans out there who are feeling the impact of COVID-19, either directly or indirectly.
